Jennifer Peringer has been practicing Shintaido since 1979 and teaching it since 1988. She currently holds the ranks of Senior Instructor, Bojutsu Sandan, and Karate Nidan.
She was drawn to Shintaido as a martial art because of its emphasis on harmonious interaction, graceful flowing movement, and connection with nature, as well as its long lineage in Japanese spiritual and martial arts practices.
Jennifer's Monday class focuses on Shintaido Bojutsu, which is a long wooden staff.
Her Saturday class focuses on Shintaido Bokuto, which is a large wooden sword.
